Getting the reading started!

The book we're using for this class, ART 247 is called National Audubon Society Society Guide to Nature Photography. It's the digital edition and the author is Tim Fitzharris.
The book seems very good from what I read, he explains most of it in detail and make it seem pretty simple to take good photos (which probably isn't true). I like how he's going through the equipment and and all the brands and types of cameras and what they're good at. He also gives you the price range and the website where you can find the product which is great. For me, who doesn't know much about the equipment, it gives you an idea about what to use as a beginner.
The book has really pretty pictures, which inspires me a lot. I really like the picture of the Saskatchewan glacier on page 29. It's super pretty and natural with all the nice colors of the fall.
With the pictures and the good and easy explanations in the language, I think I will learn a lot reading this book.

First class Assignment

As the first post for this class I wanted to blog about something that I really care about so naturally I looked up some nice skiing photos, since skiing is my biggest interest. The first thing I though of was the Warren Miller movie so i went to their home page and found some sweet pictures from a shoot in Alaska for th new movie.
The photographer's name is Tom Evans amd the skiers are Chris Davenport and Stian haugen. The nature is just amazing and combined with skiing, it just couldn't be better!
